PILGRIMS PROGRESS FILM

Dear Friends, I have just viewed the New Film version of Bunyan's Classic book, 'The Pilgrims Progress'. What a Great film. Beautiful scenes and music, Lots of action. exciting with great effects and filled with thought provoking drama. This film is a winner! A public viewing of this new film will be to sometime in March (i hope), if you live in the Forest Park area and are interested in seeing this film, please call our office and let us know. This film will encourage anyone to consider a deeper walk with Christ. CHOIR always meets on Thursday evening begining at 7:30 PM

LENT begins on Ash Wednesday eve and runs through until Easter. Please check out our Holy Week schedule on this page under march events and April events.

BIBLE STUDY begins Sunday morning, 9:15 - 10:15 AM March 7th. We will begin a two phase study: Phase One: Essential Beliefs, and Phase two: How we Got the Bible. For more info on Bible Studies check out this page.

BIBLE STUDY DETAILS

Beginning on March 7th, Sunday mornings from 9:15 AM - 10:15 AM we will begin a two part Bible Study series. From March to end of April, we will explore essential beliefs of the Christian Faith made easy. From End of April to begining of June we will study in more detail the origins of the bible. Our materials include:

March 7th - through to April 11th study:

• Essential Beliefs Made Easy: Rose Publishing
• Includes: God's Unity, God's Triunity, Human Sin, Christ's Virgin Birth, Christ's Sinless nature, Christ's Deity, Christ's humanity, Necessity of God's Grace, Necessity of Faith, Christ's death and atonement, Christ's Bodily resurrection, Christ's Intercession, Christ's second coming, Interpretion of Scripture, Method of Interpretation (gramatico-Historical)

From April, 18th - through to June 6th (First Sunday in June) we will offer a more detailed exploration of the Bible. Our materials for this study include:

• How We Got The Bible: Rose Publishers.
• Why Trust the Bible: Answers to the New Critics: Rose Publishing.

All booklets are small and to the point. They can be purchased at Crown Christian Books, Forest Park, IL, or most Bible Book Stores. They are 3.99$ each.

If you are really eager you may also purchase the book: 'Why Trust The Bible' Rose Pub. for 12.99$. This book is very readable and well written.

 These studies prepare the believer with knowledge of scripture and beliefs that are essential to Christian Faith. They also answer many questions that critics have concerning the Bible and Christian faith. Christians need to be prepared to give an account of their faith. Many are not prepared or trained to think through the difficult issues facing the church and individual Christians today. It is my desire to train lay persons to give a reason for the faith they hold. You are invited to join us and please bring a friend or two.

March. 28th. PALM SUNDAY. Begin Holy Week. Bible Study at 9:15 AM, Palm Sunday Worship 10:45 AM

April. 4th, Sunday. EASTER. No Bible Study. Early Morning Praise and Celebration Service at 9:00 AM. Refreshments provided by Woman's Society. 10:45 AM Service of Celebration followed by an Easter egg hunt for children.
